Simple time-tracking and bookkeeping

A time-tracking and bookkeeping application that doesn't rely on you being a Certified Practicing Accountant?

It's called FreshBooks, and is one of the better 'Web 2.0' sites reality engine has seen in some time. In short, FreshBooks is a fantastic utility for anyone who has a need for a good, simple and easy-to-use billing system (without spending a fortune on packages designed for CPAs). Having used it for several months now, we are very impressed with it's simple, straightforward approach, and thoroughly recommend that you check out FreshBooks.

Another invoicing option is Time59 (www.time59.com). It’s targeted at solo professionals and is a great solution if you don’t need (or want to pay for) the multi-user capability of Freshbooks (great product by the way). Bottom line: If you are solo and bill by the hour it is definitely worth a look. The first 30 days are free.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for leaving a comment - I haven't had much time to look into your link but will check it out. I've also discovered www.xero.com which looks very in-depth. Produced by another smart Melbourne company and features good integration with Australian banks.
